Una tarde en el mercado de cangrejos
Hoy voy al mercado grande del pueblo por primera vez. Pregunto al vendedor si los cangrejos son comestibles y frescos. Él abre una caja y me deja probar uno.
Creo que el sabor es muy chido, así que compro bastantes. De regreso, llevo la bolsa llena para mi familia. Espero que les gusten a todos.
Today I'm going to the big market in the town for the first time. I ask the vendor if the crabs are safe to eat and fresh. He opens a box and lets me try one.
I think that the flavor is really cool, so I buy plenty. On the way back, I carry the full bag for my family. I hope that everyone likes them.
Oraciones
Eligiendo un helado en la heladería
Elena y su hermano pequeño están en la heladería del centro. Hay muchos sabores en el mostrador: chocolate, vainilla, fresa y limón. El hermano mira todos los helados por varios minutos sin decidir. La señora detrás del mostrador sonríe y le pregunta: ¿Cuál prefieres?
El hermano señala el de chocolate, pero luego cambia de idea. Al final pide el de fresa para compartir con Elena. Elena paga por los dos y salen felices a la calle.
Elena and her little brother are at the ice cream shop downtown. There are many flavors at the counter: chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, and lemon. Her brother looks at all the ice creams for several minutes without deciding. The woman behind the counter smiles and asks him: Which one do you prefer?
Her brother points to the chocolate one, but then changes his mind. In the end he orders the strawberry one to share with Elena. Elena pays for both of them and they walk out onto the street happy.
Hablar con un vecino nuevo
Hoy conozco a mi vecino nuevo en la entrada del edificio. Él me pregunta dónde está el mercado más cercano. Le explico que hay uno a cinco minutos caminando. Vivo en un barrio cercano al centro, por eso todo está muy cerca.
Él dice que el barrio es perfecto para él, porque trabaja en el centro. Le doy mi número de teléfono para cualquier pregunta. Nos despedimos y vuelvo a mi apartamento.
Today I meet my new neighbor in the building entrance. He asks me where the nearest market is. I explain that there is one a five-minute walk away. I live in a neighborhood near downtown, so everything is very close by.
He says the neighborhood is perfect for him, because he works downtown. I give him my phone number for any questions. We say goodbye and I go back to my apartment.
