Cuando entro al despacho, veo a mi colega delante de su escritorio. Ella es tímida y apenas me saluda. Hoy queremos almorzar juntos, así que ella susurra: "¿Qué haces?"
Le digo que estoy preparando unas brochetas con lechuga para el almuerzo. Ella tiene el sueldo nuevo y quiere celebrar, así que tal vez vamos a salir de tragos después.
When I walk into the office, I see my colleague in front of her desk. She is shy and hardly says hello to me. Today we want to have lunch together, so she whispers: "What are you doing?"
I tell her I'm making some skewers with lettuce for lunch. She just got her new salary and wants to celebrate, so maybe we'll go out for drinks afterward.

Un día de playa en verano
Hoy hace mucho calor y quiero ir a la playa. Preparo mi bolsa para el día. Llevo mi toalla a la playa. También llevo protector solar porque el sol está muy fuerte.
Camino hasta la orilla y busco un buen lugar. Pongo la toalla en la arena y me siento. El agua está fría, pero es perfecta para nadar.
Today it is very hot and I want to go to the beach. I pack my bag for the day. I take my towel to the beach. I also bring sunscreen because the sun is very strong.
I walk to the shore and look for a good spot. I lay the towel on the sand and sit down. The water is cold, but it is perfect for swimming.
Una conversación sobre el origen de un amigo
Hoy hablo con mi compañera de clase sobre nuestros amigos. Ella me pregunta por qué como tanto chile. Mi amigo es choco. Él me enseñó a cocinar con chile habanero para darle sabor a la comida.
Ahora a mí también me gusta la comida picante. Mañana voy a preparar una salsa típica de Tabasco.
Today I'm talking with my classmate about our friends. She asks me why I eat so much chili. My friend is from Tabasco. He taught me to cook with habanero chili to give the food flavor.
Now I like spicy food too. Tomorrow I'm going to make a traditional Tabasco salsa.
