El desayuno en la cocina
Normalmente, Marco se despierta temprano para preparar el desayuno. Pone la sartén en el fuego y el aceite empieza a estar hirviendo.
Entonces añade el tomate y el atún, y el olor llena toda la cocina. A veces el olor es un poco fuerte, pero él piensa que es muy agradable.
Usually, Marco wakes up early to make breakfast. He puts the pan on the heat and the oil starts boiling.
Then he adds the tomato and the tuna, and the smell fills the whole kitchen. Sometimes the smell is a little strong, but he thinks that it is very pleasant.

La profesora escribe una fecha en la pizarra para explicar un evento importante. Marcos levanta la mano y dice que la fecha no es correcta. La profesora le pide su opinión por unos segundos. A mi juicio, eso no es correcto.
Entonces la profesora busca la respuesta en su libro. Encuentra la página correcta y lee la fecha en voz alta. Marcos tenía razón — la fecha del libro es diferente a la de la pizarra. La profesora borra el número y escribe el correcto.
The teacher writes a date on the board to explain an important event. Marcos raises his hand and says the date is wrong. The teacher asks for his opinion for a few seconds. In my opinion, this is not correct.
Then the teacher looks up the answer in her book. She finds the right page and reads the date out loud. Marcos was right — the date in the book is different from the one on the board. The teacher erases the number and writes the correct one.
Una tarde en el cine con amigas
Hoy es viernes y mis amigas quieren ver una película. Compramos las entradas por internet esta mañana. Vamos al cine cerca de la plaza para llegar a tiempo. Nosotras vamos al cine.
La película empieza a las siete. Pedimos palomitas para compartir durante el filme. Después, tenemos que tomar el autobús para volver a casa.
Today is Friday and my friends want to watch a movie. We bought the tickets online this morning. We are heading to the theater near the plaza to get there on time. We go to the movies.
The film starts at seven. We order popcorn to share during the movie. Afterward, we have to take the bus to get back home.
