Una entrevista de trabajo
Laura llega hacia las diez a la oficina para su entrevista. Se sienta en una silla de madera porque no hay otras sillas libres. Está un poco nerviosa, pero trata de estar callada y tranquila.
El entrevistador entra y los dos se estrechan la mano. Me agrada que el ambiente sea tan grande y cómodo. Por el momento, Laura cree que todo va bien.
Laura arrives around ten o'clock at the office for her interview. She sits in a wooden chair because there are no other free chairs. She is a little nervous, but she tries to stay quiet and calm.
The interviewer walks in and the two of them shake hands. It pleases me that the space is so large and comfortable. For now, Laura thinks everything is going well.

Una fiesta de cumpleaños en el jardín
Hoy hay una fiesta de cumpleaños en el jardín de los vecinos. Todos los niños corren, gritan y juegan juntos. La niña tímida se esconde. Está detrás de un árbol grande, lejos del ruido.
Su mamá la busca por todo el jardín. Al final la encuentra y le da la mano para acompañarla al grupo. La niña sonríe un poco, pero todavía está nerviosa.
Today there is a birthday party in the neighbors' garden. All the kids are running, shouting, and playing together. The shy girl hides. She is behind a big tree, away from the noise.
Her mom looks all over the garden for her. She finally finds her and takes her hand to walk her over to the group. The girl smiles a little, but she is still nervous.
Preparando el equipaje para el viaje
Marta tiene que salir mañana por la mañana para el aeropuerto. Está haciendo la maleta en su habitación desde hace una hora. Mete ropa, zapatos y libros porque el viaje dura dos semanas. La maleta está muy pesada.
La levanta y no puede moverla bien. Decide sacar algunos libros para no pagar extra en el avión. Después, cierra la maleta y la deja junto a la puerta.
Marta has to leave for the airport tomorrow morning. She has been packing her suitcase in her room for the past hour. She puts in clothes, shoes, and books because the trip lasts two weeks. The suitcase is very heavy.
She picks it up and can barely move it. She decides to take out some books so she doesn't pay extra on the plane. Then she closes the suitcase and leaves it by the door.
