Una tarde esperando en la ciudad [diary]
Ayer tuve que esperar en una fila larguísima en el centro de la ciudad. La zona estaba llena de gente y el ruido era increíble.
Creo que esperé casi una hora, maso. No me gusta nada esperar tanto, pero al final pude hacer mi trámite y salir feliz.
Yesterday I had to wait in a very long line in the city center. The zone was full of people and the noise was incredible.
I think I waited almost an hour — more or less. I really don't like waiting that long, but in the end I managed to finish my errand and leave happy.

Una foto de familia [anecdote]
Mi abuela miraba la foto antigua y sonreía. De repente, se le llenaron los ojos de lágrimas y una de ellas cayó por su mejilla. La toqué con cuidado y le pregunté si estaba bien. Ella asintió y dijo que solo estaba recordando tiempos felices.
My grandmother was looking at the old photo and smiling. Suddenly, her eyes filled with tears and one of them ran down her cheek. I touched it gently and asked her if she was okay. She nodded and said she was just remembering happy times.

Carlos llegó a casa después de una hora corriendo y tenía muchísima sed. Fue directo a la cocina y cogió un vaso del armario. Lo llenó de agua fría y se lo bebió de un solo trago. Después, se quedó un momento apoyado en la encimera, respirando despacio.
Carlos got home after an hour of running and was incredibly thirsty. He went straight to the kitchen and grabbed a glass from the cupboard. He filled it with cold water and drank it down in one go. Afterward, he stood leaning against the counter for a moment, breathing slowly.

I forgot my bank password. He tried three times and the ATM blocked his card. He had to call the bank to sort out the problem.
