Ayer pasé por el ayuntamiento después del trabajo. Había un señor mayor vendiendo elote junto a su carrito. El vendedor era muy valiente porque trabajaba solo bajo el sol. Decidí comprar uno con un poco de queso y limón. Él me dio un descuento porque compré dos. "De nada," me dijo cuando le di las gracias.
Nos quedamos hablando junto al carrito por varios minutos. Todavía tenía hambre, así que le pedí otro para llevar a casa. Me despedí de él y seguí caminando, completamente feliz con mi elote.
Yesterday I walked past the town hall after work. There was an older man selling corn on the cob next to his cart. The vendor was very brave because he worked alone under the sun. I decided to buy one with a bit of cheese and lime. He gave me a discount because I bought two. "You're welcome," he said when I thanked him.
We stood there talking next to the cart for several minutes. I was still hungry, so I asked for another one to take home. I said goodbye to him and kept walking, completely happy with my corn.
