Cocinando ajiaco para mi abuela [anecdote]
Hoy es sábado y voy a la cocina de mi abuela para preparar ajiaco. Ella está muy chiqueada porque le duele la espalda desde hace un par de veces esta semana. Primero tengo que cortar el pollo y lavar las papas antes de poner todo en la olla. Claro, también necesito una cebolla, o la sopa queda sin sabor. Mi abuela dice que le encanta el olor de la cocina, y yo empiezo a sentir el mismo sentimiento. De repente escucho un pitido raro del horno, pero no es nada grave. Voy entendiendo por qué esta receta es tan especial para ella. Cuando por fin comemos, todo suena bien y la cocina se siente muy agradable.
Today is Saturday, and I'm going to my grandmother's kitchen to make ajiaco. She is very pampered because her back has hurt a couple of times this week. First I have to chop the chicken and wash the potatoes before putting everything in the pot. Of course, I also need an onion, or the soup ends up tasteless. My grandmother says she loves the smell of the kitchen, and I start to feel the same feeling. Suddenly I hear a strange beep from the oven, but it's nothing serious. I'm starting to understand why this recipe is so special to her. When we finally eat, everything sounds good and the kitchen feels very pleasant.
